So it all started a year ago from a tournament of vivacious Mohun Bagan grp where they invited us to play and gave us the opportunity to think that we can build a team of young nd enthusiastic Mariners who just love to play football..
It was our 1st tournament and our boys fought hard but failed to reach the finals.. From this very moment we knew that in future we can rule the semi pro circuit of Kolkata with our team.. So we started recruiting more players for our team.. we have created a squad of 20 players and started practicing.. Soon a news came to us that we were invited to play in a tournament of mohun bagan next generation.. The players were very excited to play this tournament as the standard of this one is damn too high.. We won each nd evry matches and reached to the final..
The only team who were unbeaten to reach into the final..the match ended up as a 0-0 draw..and after the tie breaker also we ended up as a draw.. so as per fifa norms the referee has to toss a coin to choose a winner hence luck was not in favor of us nd we lost in toss of the coin.. But as a runners up we got a tag from the tournament committee and spectators as a CHAMPION and our GK Adreej and LCB Rohit was awarded as the best players of the tournament for the role respectively..
Soon we started playing in many more tournaments within few months in which evry time we had lost into the semis and friendly matches too in which we won in a success rate off 90%..
On the birthday celebration of RAMB we have launched our new football team jersey from the hand of our very own legend Sandip Nandi and awarded all the players with memento for there efforts and success.
