Opening match of CFL 2019. The score board was anything but in MohunBagan’s favour. We lost the match by 3 goals to nil against Peerless who then later went on to bag the year’s CFL. Even though we finished third, the CFL 2019 later proved to be consequential as the same set team concluded the season winning back the I league.
Despite the cataclysmic score board, the match especially remains engraved in our hearts due to the gallery activities. Banners of the Immortal XI held up to commemorate their glorious valor. To celebrate a legacy deeply intertwined with the freedom struggle of India, one that shall trail till the end of time.
