During a Calcutta Football League match, a few hooligans from East Bengal insulted a female reporter in their own club premises. If we have to put Indian football on the world map, our journalists will have to play a pivotal role in the same. With our main sport being cricket, football doesn’t find too much space in the newspapers or on the TV channels. These reporters cover Indian football and they can spread the good things happening in Indian football and more people will take notice. So, it’s imperative that we, as responsible football fans and more importantly, Indian football fans, respect the reporters.
